Happy 100th Anniversary of the Republic of TURKEY!

We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey (Türkiye). We celebrate this important date by remembering the day when Turkey took its place in the world as a modern, secular, and democratic state.

The Republic of Turkey was established with the Turkish War of Independence, which was initiated in the occupied lands after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The struggle against the occupying forces resulted in the Abolition of the Sultanate on 1 November 1922 and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne on 24 July 1923. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey officially ended the Ottoman Empire by declaring the Republic on October 29, 1923.

The founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, carried out a series of revolutions and reforms to raise Turkey to the level of modern civilization. He rebuilt Turkey in many areas, from education to health, from culture to economy, and from law to foreign policy. Under the leadership of Ataturk, the Republic of Turkey gained a respected position in the international arena.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gave great importance to aviation and was a pioneer in establishing the first Turkish aircraft factories and addressed the nation as follows: “The future is in the skies! Nations that cannot protect their skies can never be sure of their future.”

On the 100th anniversary of the Republic, we continue to work for the future of our country by adhering to the values and principles of the Republic of Turkey. We commemorate all our martyrs and veterans, especially Atatürk, who contributed to the establishment of our Republic, with mercy and gratitude. Happy 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye!
