Inspired by ProtoFPV Original Concept
This design is inspired by the original TPU LiPo strap idea developed by our good friend Patrick from ProtoFPV.

The Craycle version was redesigned to match Craycle airframes better, focusing on the most suitable length, width, and thickness for our mounting systems. This approach also allows us to adapt and modify the design for future Craycle models as mounting needs evolve.

Tested in Real Use
This TPU Lipo Strap design was developed by December 2024 and has been actively used in our own models since then.
For more than a year, it has been tested in real flights and is now included directly in Craycle Printed Kits, confirming its reliability in long-term use.
Material and Flexibility Notes
This is an STL product, and it does not require a specific TPU brand or hardness to function properly.
- Any TPU filament will work
- Different Shore hardness values are all usable
- Users are encouraged to experiment and choose the flexibility they prefer
Even with black TPU at 96A Shore, the strap performs correctly.
Generally, white TPU tends to feel slightly softer than black TPU at the same Shore rating, but this does not impact functionality.
All reasonable TPU variations provide sufficient grip and flexibility for this design.
